Q: What do you listen to while illustrating?
A: While illustrating, I love to listen to podcasts — specifically True Crime podcasts. Something about drawing while listening to some real stories gets me in the creative zone. Aside from True Crime podcasts, I also listen to creative podcasts like Creative Pep Talk, the Lisa Congdon Sessions, and Grupo de autoayuda de dibujo. Lastly, I love to throw some Parisian Cafe Jazz on YouTube when I want to escape from my home studio. I highly recommend it!
Q: Why did you start [Draws in Spanish]?
A: I started [Draws in Spanish] because I was craving more Latinx representation in the podcasting world, especially when it came to creative podcasts. I just wanted to hear from more creative people that came from similar Latine backgrounds as me.
Q: Who’s lucy?
A: Lucy is my 10-year-old cute baby Shar-pei puppy. Her Frito paws keep me company every day in the studio and on the couch. I love her.
